Don’t call me paranoid, I just like to know a little bit about the person I’m about to go out with. Especially when a friend has another one of their “perfect matches” for me. Ahh the blind date. Adventurous, mostly doomed for failure, and something that you do mainly for the appeasement for your friends so they don’t complain about your dating life.
Now for smart phone users there’s new apps out there to help you screen better then just the normal looking up someone’s name on Google.
With all the iPhone apps out there you know that they had to come up with one to do a little snooping on what you’re date’s real story is. DateCheck by intillus lets you check for things like:
- property ownership
- roommates living at the same address
- past criminal convections
- Interests
- Education verification
- Keep Notes on Date
- Rating system
The problem was that I couldn’t find any pricing information on their website. It also didn’t present any clues on if it was a pay per use service or if it was a one time download. (I’m guessing that it’s either a monthly subscription or a pay per use ). If nothing else the commercial is definitely worth watching.
